Root Zone service during the upcoming KSK rollover

IANA is preparing for the upcoming cryptographic key rollover for the DNS root zone on 11 October 2018.

While we will continue to maintain regular service on the day of the rollover, we would like to minimize the number of changes implemented in the DNS Root Zone on 11 October 2018. This will allow any impacts resulting from the rollover to be more easily isolated from any other potential changes to the root zone.

To help us prepare, we urge TLD managers to submit any change requests that need to be implemented in the root zone before that date as soon as possible. For emergency change requests that must be implemented faster than our typical processing times, our emergency change request process will remain available 24 hours a day.
