News service now available

A News section is now available on the IANA website, which provides a centralized clearing house for IANA-related news and announcements. Until now, these items have typically been posted in topic-specific mailing lists, web sites, and direct customer communications.

The News section is also published as an Atom feed, which can be subscribed to with an RSS reader. News has been populated with previously made announcements aggregated from these other locations, dating back to 2008. We intend to continue to post relevant announcements into specific channels into the future. For example, key ceremony related announcements will be posted to the 'root-dnssec-announce' mailing list.

ICANN continues to publish announcements and blog articles, including significant items relating to the IANA functions. This service is for items of more specific and limited scope, operationally focused on the IANA functions, and don't have broad applicability to the larger ICANN community of stakeholders.
